Ukraine holds the cards now that they’re the world leaders in drone manufacturing and unmanned military ops.

and an economy bombed out by Russia, which is only really able to fund the war, due to massive European aid. Not to mention stuff like sanctions. There are also options like European soldiers in Ukraine and stuff like that.

It makes sense for them to sit on the table.

If you really do not need soldiers to maintain and control them, then Ukraine could just demobilize. Those basically have to be in Ukraine, otherwise maintaining them requires insane logistics and control can be cut much more easily.

Also it is mainly about a trigger force, so Russia knows that if they attack again, they likely end up in a shooting war with that European country.

      Ukraine holds the cards

I keep hearing this, but I can only see a country on life support, that remains in existence thanks to foreign support.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Ukraine has some cards, but it’s still in desperate need of friends. Not the other way around.
