'Preserving the Value of Physical Game Ownership' — Two Game Retailers are Refusing to Sell GTA 6 Due to the Lack of a Disc

Two retailers have announced that they will not be selling Grand Theft Auto 6 due to the game not releasing on a disc.

Video Games Plus, a gaming retailer based out of Canada, and an independent gaming retailer known as Loot Box Gaming have both stated that they won’t be selling GTA 6.

Not huge retailers in the grand scheme of things, but interesting to see at least some taking a stand especially when they are almost certainly losing out on money by doing so.

    I’m Canadian. Never heard of VGP. Looked them up, they have one location. By not huge you really mean inconsequential. Negligible.

      They do a lot of online sales as I understand it. Given there’s not a lot in the Canadian market online for physical resale, they are really only behind EB Games in that regard.
