Finished Owlboy.

It was a fun game, but there were some parts I didn’t like much. There are some sections where you have to navigate through darkness, and there are spikes on the walls, didn’t like that. There were also some areas which were time based, don’t like those either. Doesn’t make it a bad game though, there are many good parts, but it’s not perfect. Personally, I will rate it as a good but not a great game. If you like 2D platformers, it’s worth a try.

Started Star Fox. I have only played the tutorial though, haven’t even started the campaign, but that is going to be the primary game for the weekend.

This is also the first time I properly tried the mouse mode of Switch 2, and I am really impressed. It works really well, had to spend some time thinking if I should play the game in mouse mode or normal control. You can change the controls on runtime though, so it’s not a big decision.

Reached the second area Monster Hunter Stories. The game seems to be opening up, fast travel is also unlocked, and I have finally more than 5 monsties. 5 is the limit of what we can have active party at a time. Going to put it on a back burner for a bit and focus on Star Fox.

Played Fallout 4, completed some quest lines, and took care of some bigger quests. Also played some Earth Defense Force 5. Nothing worth mentioning there though.

What about all of you? What have you been playing and/or plan to play?

Took a short break from Fallout after Point Lookout to play Mega Man again. Back on the Wii U I managed to beat the game without the Pause-Exploit for the first time and thought I’d have a hard time with that again, but apparently Mega Man is like riding a bicycle. I was definitely a bit rusty, but didn’t really get stuck.

Slowed down my pace on Yoshi’s Mysterious Mystery Book Mystery. It’s a nice one-level-at-a-time game. When I first saw the stealth level, I expected to hate it but it turned out to be one of my favorites. Which was a nice change of pace after the surfboard level was my least favorite level despite what it should be.

Visions of Mana froze on me. Don’t pause the game during a class strike! I don’t know if it’s consistent, but I’m not going to try. Then a group of enemies’ walk animation broke and they hovered towards me, T-posing menacingly! Also, for a long time now, a lot of area maps have had outdated quest markers the game never cleared. I wasn’t going to mention that, but since we’re apparently now collecting glitches, I might as well!

I think I’m really approaching the endgame now. Hunting down the Benevodons is classic Mana and I’m loving it! It’s a bit strange that they brought back Zable Fahr as the Benevodon of Darkness when the other seven are new, but that one has always been my favorite and seeing a screenshot of it was a big reason why I had the urge to start the game when I did. I’m also starting to get side quests for the high-level nemesis-type enemies. Which is great, because I never bothered to write down where they are! Very convenient.

I played first 3 Mega Man games a little while back, and they are difficult. Even with Save States and Rewind, I ended up using the “pause-exploit”, not to mention the number of deaths I had before that. Though, I could feel this is the kind of game where if I really invested my time I could get better. Maybe not to the level where I could finish the game without exploit, but still much better than how I am right now, except I didn’t want to spend that much time on it. Too many games, too little time!

I don’t remember what you mean by stealth level, but surfboard one was pretty fun. Not my absolute favourite, but among the ones I liked more.

I don’t know if it’s consistent, but I’m not going to try.

Do it for the science! We need to know!

I did a quick search and don’t think these bugs are very common, you probably just got lucky.

I’m surprised you don’t remember the stealth level, it’s the only one I’ve seen so far where an enemy just murders you. You’re trapped in a temple and need to get four keys to get out.

And you just reminded me, speaking of doing a search on Visions of Mana bugs, I had another one early on where the second wave of enemies in a trial battle didn’t spawn and I couldn’t find help on that either. It worked after a restart though…

Ah, the temple / keys level! You are right, didn’t forget it, but for some reason didn’t have it mentally associated with stealth. Possibly cause I “ran and hid”, instead of doing proper stealth based traversal. Didn’t like that level! Again, not my least favourite, more of in the middle.

“Restart” is such a magic fix when it comes to anything computers and software 😀
