Critics Consensus
The Minions bring their penchant for mayhem to Hollywood history in this affectionate and charming sendup of moviemaking magic, turning out the franchise’s most roundly enjoyable entry yet.

Ehh, it was definitely polarizing and not like the movies before it. That’s for sure.

I definitely wouldn’t call it fantastic. I do like it though.

      polarizing

He’s a solar powered immigrant who overcomes his parents’ bigotry. I can’t believe a certain segment of the population would think it was targeting their culture.

Is this a serious post? Do people actually think it was targeting their culture?

I don’t see how he overcame his parents’ bigotry. He doesn’t even find out about it to nearly the end of the movie. He didn’t grow up around it. At best you could say it’s not genetic. But I think most everyone knows that already.
