It’s such a lame, mealy mouthed “message”.

How come it seems like nobody on this planet has any real convictions?

It’s because they are famous for this and likely filming part 2 of a Netflix doc or diesel ad (they are sponsored by them).

It’s fucking fake. That’s why cnn waisted near two hours on this. It was a fucking ad.

This is something they do every time they do this. Get up there make out laugh at how stupid people are for not immediately googling them and realizing it’s a fucking ad and they are famous for this.

something about changing the original feels like a shitty thing to do to a good message

Almost feels astroturfy with how the original has been basically buried

They didn’t even come up with their own quote, it’s like some cheesy tautology from a facebook “like” page from 2010…

Pulling a stunt like this has nothing to do with whatever message they put up on the sign. This is purely for attention.

With an added risk of forcing other people to clean up their bodies.

Doesn’t help that the “message” is just about the most tepid, saccharine, meaningless bullshit you’ve ever read.

You tend to want attention when you’re sharing an important message, and it kinda worked. A lot of people have now seen a message that wouldn’t have been seen by almost anyone had they not done that.

Because I’m sure so many people had this sudden epiphany upon seeing them that “ohhh, the power of love will bring us peace, not the love of power, I’ve had it backwards this whole time! Come on everybody, let’s all sing kumbaya together.”

Like everyone singing at the end of Elf. That doesn’t happen in real life, this isn’t a children’s movie. “C’mere, Netanyahu, you old rascal! Let’s put aside our differences cause these random stunt artists said so!”

The only people who need to hear that message don’t give a fuck about the message.

This was a viral stunt from a daredevil couple with a documentary coming out on netflix.

That’s why the sign had nothing to say other than boring platitudes.

People are dumb as fuck. Took me 10 seconds to find them as cnn was like “who are they? Who does this? Watch us pretend we dont know this is an ad!”

It’s an extremely high risk activity that unfortunately necessitates involving other people in things like body clean up if they make a mistake. First responders and the passerby’s around get to carry that burden.

They didn’t even take the risk for anything but their own show promotion.

True, but then again there are so many such things. If I go into the woods for my own enjoyment and accidentally get lost requiring a rescue, am I being selfish? What about skiing, mountain climbing and all such activities? They all involve first responders saving your ass.

Hell by that logic anyone who drives a vehicle on a public road for any non-productive reason is being selfish.

This is a couple famous for this shit promoting a Netflix documentary about themselves. You’re seeing an ad or people being used as useful idiots to spread an ad. Nothing to see but grift.

The pic was taken on top of the world trade center edit: empire state building, thanks for the correction. The two people pictured scaled it and their original banner reads: “When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace.” It is very memeable obviously. They have been arrested for their stunt.
