Everyone is talking about how evil palantir is for supporting Israel with their genocide and they’re 100% right about that

But I feel that almost nobody is talking about how this is an AI data broker with access to about all data about us all that we can imagine, while the owner is a right wing christo idiot who wants Armageddon to happen. Am I the only one also having big issues with that?

Well, good! But the Telegraph reporting is so right biased here it’s surreal to read.

Scheduling operating theatres needs Actual Intelligence, which is significantly cheaper than Artificial Intelligence, and doesn’t expose the entire UKs medical history to the modern equivalent of a 1940 Auschwitz medical research group.

The Telegraph is outright terrible. The only more right wing paper is probably GB News.

I’d focus on using left or center-left publications like The Guardian and The Independent.

There are some further left publications such as Novara Media and The Canary (they’re better on some issues where others are too cowardly, like Gaza or trans rights). Though I’m not sure how accurate they are on everything.

On some issues the BBC is fine too, just not Israel and trans rights.

My point being, we are stopping pretty low if we reach for the Telegraph.

The BBC is not good at what it calls “balance” - it “balances” climate scientists with far right nut jobs, especially Nigel Farage, and “balances” people who claim you ought to be nice to people irrespective of who they are and what they’re like, (race, sexuality, gender, religion, legally protected characteristics in the equalities act), with far right nut jobs, especially Nigel Farage. They balance people saying that onshore wind power is the cheapest form of energy in the UK (it is) with far right nut jobs, especially Nigel Farage, and they balance people saying that immigrants to the UK boost public sector finances by an average of a few thousand pounds (they do) with far right nut jobs, especially Nigel Farage.

Yeah I can’t deny that. Platforming bigots is not something an organization like the BBC should do. Reality has a left-leaning bias, and the BBC over-corrects.

It’s not my first choice, clearly, but it’s ok on some topics. Others I don’t even bother to read what they have said.

            Reality has a left-leaning bias

It sure does, and the BBC used to have a good reputation worldwide for telling the truth and they used to flatly contradict liars during interviews. Now they just tell the truth about what opposing politicians say, which is very much not the same thing. Unsurprisingly this got a lot worse when the Conservative government appointed a Conservative political advisor in charge of the news division, but the rot started before that.

I love their Ukraine coverage but anything domestic is outrageously imbalanced. Even their coverage of Ukraine was affected with the PM ousting, where they shat all over him as if reform isnt Russian themselves.

That said your comparison was a bit much re Auschwitz.

I don’t think its healthy to make that leap. They are opprtunistic cunts, they havent actively and personally killed people directly to a degree that requires infrastructure changes for transporting the victims.

Thank God. At least something good. I don’t want any of my taxes funding Papantir in any way. Evil evil evil.
