Hideo Kojima has reacted to the news that PlayStation will soon discontinue disc games, telling an audience that he’s “really sad” about the news but more concerned about what could happen if cloud gaming becomes dominant in the future.

Then why arent his games DRM-free and released on GOG? Death Stranding had Denuvo.

Because he’s not the publisher Sony is and they ultimately control the budget and marketing which includes adding Denuvo.
Only thing he can do is advocate against it.
Best thing people can do? Dont buy that console or anymore games. Will they do it? No.
Doesnt stop them from proclaimimg things like ‘refuse to buy for the rest of my life’, ‘X is dead to me’ or ‘this marks the end of console gaming for me’, though.

I think it was a guy at Ubisoft if I recall correctly.
He was used, I think, to tell us the future for all of humanity using fiction.
