Most people don’t just automatically assume every accusation is real, that’s just a bastardization of “believe all women” that people who never understood the phrase in the first place
It doesn’t mean every accusation means there’s a guilty man somewhere, it means when someone makes an accusation it gets investigated.
The flip side of that is when an accusation is made when there’s no time for an investigation, we ask why the accusations was held back till an investigation couldn’t be done in time.
The alternative is bad faith actors make last minute accusations against anyone they don’t like, and surely you understand why that would be a bad thing…

I saw it happen with Andrew Callahan, Andrew is literally a violent rapist that got off by saying he was “just being a pest” and “he didn’t even really know he was being a pest so it’s all good”. Because people like his YouTube videos they’ll say “well he’s a necessary journalist in these times!” Even tho he makes documentaries on very basic stuff.

I think the evidence is damning so far and the journalists and politicians I trust believe the same thing.
