In my experience, the consumers are stupid every time. Just being a customer cripples 90% of people’s critical thinking abilities. Even myself, walk into a store I haven’t been in and I am a complete and utter fool. The customer is always an idiot.

I’m savvy when it comes to games but if I needed something for my car, for example, I’m just as stupid as the rest of the herd. Most people aren’t savvy about most things. These companies prey on this imbalance to take everything to the lowest common denominator.

There are just so many potential consumers, even when a high-profile product is shitty enough people still don’t know, don’t care, or have FOMO that they still buy it.

The main thing is that even if you shift to a more exclusive business model and charge more people will just borrow to get your new thing because it is more expensive

Nobody will be talking about any of this in a year anyway and it will be accepted as what is normal

Nintendo already did it and nobody cares anymore
