I didn’t read the article, just because my response isn’t directly to it, but to the general mindset of these ultra rich tech people.
My thing is, where are their heads at?
Is it because they have surrounded themselves with yes people, like trump? Or is their own mind so messed up by money that they can’t make decisions based on reality?
Both?
Part of me would like to sit down with these guys and have a candid one-on-one chat about the world, just to see exactly where the disconnect is. I know it’ll never happen, and I have a hard time watching videos on it because you know they are most likely carefully curated.
Maybe not Elon. He is off the rails sometimes.
make decisions based on reality
“reality” in the sense that normal people think of it (actual, real reality) doesn’t matter to rich people. the only thing that matters is convincing people that their reality isn’t real, and that the fantasy bullshit not-reality that the owner class is trying to force-feed everyone is real.
you see this everywhere you look:
covid is a hoax
climate change is a hoax
AI is good and useful and the best thing possible for the working class
the economy is doing greatit goes on and on. but why? MONEY, same reason they do everything they do. it seems like it should be more complicated than that, but it isn’t. it’s for the money. it doesn’t matter that they already have most of it. they want ALL of it
