Lionsgate and live-action Naruto movie director Destin Daniel Cretton announced via social media Thursday that they will launch a global casting search for the roles of Team 7’s three young shinobi Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura.
The Naruto franchise is still going on. The Avatar franchise also has had video games and comic books going. There was no way they would have been able to pull off a Naruto series 20 years ago. Not saying it will be a success, but it has a higher chance of being executed today.
