    I hope this doesn’t mean USDS shuts down. I wanted to apply there assuming it would return back to its software development roots.

            No problem. USDS wasn’t always about ‘efficiency’ and used to be a way for digital services to be made. For example, if Medicare for All were to happen, who makes the web dashboard for every American to log into? Before doge was a thing, it would have been USDS. Hopefully Trump doesn’t kill the office is what I’m saying, so whenever we get Medicare for All through it’ll be made by some competent people and not claude or fable or whatever the next hot AI slop generator is.
