    And exactly what changed

You weren’t being thrown into camps for a start. You had another shot. Some of you are too miserable to stand up and have a go though.

    BIDEN DIDN’T USE THE POWER

So you put Trump back in on a 65% turnout. Great solution.

He simply chose not to deploy ICE

Yeah, that’s what should be done. Not deploy them on the streets.

    You want to say…

Nope, I don’t want to say it but it is. I’m not the only one saying it either even if I’m alone here.

You gotta stop imagining that everything changes…

Well I don’t, but see Mamdani.

    when the Ds win

Not if they’re the right ones, see Mamdani. This works at all levels too btw, see Republican voters. These points are ones discussed by Americans in the past too, not just my view.

Its only effective at changing the captain on the Titanic

That might actually save the ship if a different decision was made. Since you’re using hypotheticals.

    Because you’re right…

Not always, and I wish I was wrong here with a lot of this, because if I was it’d be a vastly different country.

    You haven’t seen…

I saw someone work their arse off to stop another consecutive Trump government only to watch non voters help put him back in again.

I’m giving you…research by top universities

No, you’re giving me more excuses. Had the population voted in all or even most of the elections they’ve needed to, including primaries, at somewhere like 75-80%, the country would be a lot different now to what it is. They don’t participate, it’s bred complacency, that’s been exploited by conservatives who do participate over a long period of time and here they are. Of course, there’s more to it, but had people turned out to especially midterms around Obamas time things would be much different now to what they are. At the very least, Israel would be on a leash.

    easily entertained surface thinker

As usual, another personal insult because it’s the only level you can deal on. You reflect the shit show you live in.

As usual, another personal insult because it’s the only level you can deal on. You reflect the shit show you live in.

Wrong again dipshit. I’m reflecting you. Do I need to rub your nose in it so you stop shitting everywhere? Here, these are your words:

Yep, run from your problem and hide behind others, after telling them to mind their own business about it. Then get shitty when they disapprove.

That’d be what I’d expect from Americans.

Left unity in that country will be achieved when they all unite behind one candidate regardless and not throw the toys from the cot if they don’t get the candidate they wanted.

      whiny excuses

      God you people are whiny

get off your arse and vote

      keep making excuses.

they’re looking for every excuse to absolve themselves personally of the responsibility

      Stop whining and finding excuses.

Until then you’re just a pack of whingers

If people have to be convinced to go out and do a duty, they’re not very good people.

      Now, stop whining

you’re a liar if you say otherwise

      apathy and selfishness

      you’re a Seppo

      have become such snivelling whingers

      Fuck you lot are pathetic

You, Seppo, have been dishing it out since the beginning, but not only can’t you take it, you think anyone else who stoops to your level is morally and intellectually inferior to you. Fuck off. You still have no fucking idea what you’re talking about. Let’s break it ALL down, you Seppo:

Mamdani is proving that one wrong

You are ignorant or arguing in bad faith. The mayor of New York City is elected by a pure popular vote. No one in the US federal government is elected by a pure popular vote. Voting in the US is divided by state and further by district. If you took the NYC mayoral election process and extrapolated it to the national level, while keeping the same number of elected official, then we’d have a completely different country. If we instead took the federal election process and replaced the NYC mayoral election process with it, it is extremely unlikely that Mamdani would have been elected. Why is this? You’re so smart, and knowledgeable, and so world weary, you’re so confident in your understanding. Why don’t you expound on the mathematical and logic details of the differences between the electoral systems that you are smashing together like a child making their dolls “have sex”?

their government and their Zionist attack dog threatening everything and everyone and it’s all because they wouldn’t turn out in numbers to vote

Wrong again, Seppo! Here’s the words straight from Joe Biden’s mouth:

Supporting Israel is the best $3 billion investment we make. Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interests in the region.

This has been US policy for 50 years. Over those 50 years, there were 4 D presidents and 5 R presidents. Oh look, there’s that evidence you claim to rely on when making your bad faith arguments. Right there. Black and white. You think Israel threatening everyone is “all because [we] wouldn’t turn out in numbers to vote” still? If you do, I have a bridge to sell you. Good price.

Oh but wait, you also said that our government is threatening everything and everyone because we wouldn’t turn out in numbers to vote.

      • Harry S. Truman (1945–1953): North Korea, nuked Japan
      • Dwight D. Eisenhower (1953–1961): Lebanon, Iran, Guatemala
      • John F. Kennedy (1961–1963): Cuba, Vietnam
      • Lyndon B. Johnson (1963–1969): Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, DR Congo
      • Richard Nixon (1969–1974): Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay
      • Gerald Ford (1974–1977): Cambodia, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Angola
      • Jimmy Carter (1977–1981): Iran (hostage rescue mission), Angola
      • Ronald Reagan (1981–1989): Grenada, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Nicaragua, Chad, El Salvador, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia
      • George H.W. Bush (1989–1993): Panama, Iraq, Kuwait, Somalia
      • Bill Clinton (1993–2001): Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, Sudan, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia
      • George W. Bush (2001–2009): Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Haiti, Venezuela
      • Barack Obama (2009–2017): Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Niger, Cameroon, Uganda, South Sudan,
      • Donald Trump (2017–2021): Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Somalia, Iran, Libya, Kenya
      • Joe Biden (2021–2025): Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Somalia
      • Donald Trump (2025 - ): Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Iran, Nigeria, Venezuela

So here’s more of that evidence you love like “Mamdani won a popular vote in a single polity and that proves you all are lazy and selfish and that if you could just be better people then everything would be better and its all your fault”. Here, however, the evidence says “shut the fuck up you Aussie seppo and look at fucking reality”.

The simple fact remains the sooner they get 2 weeks to a month of peaceful shutdown going (60% in all the cities would probably be enough to bring the wheels to a halt) and force Congressmen and Senators to act the easier this will be. The longer it’s left, the harder it is.

A look. Here you are in a comment arguing for a coordinated general strike as the solution the problem. Fuck, why didn’t we think of that!!

      • Harry S. Truman (1945–1953): Weaponized the Taft-Hartley Act to halt strikes, seized railroads and coal mines under wartime emergency powers, and forced anti-communist loyalty oaths to purge radical labor leadership. Operation Dixie Crackdowns (1946–1953)
      • Dwight D. Eisenhower (1953–1961): Enforced the Landrum-Griffin Act to aggressively audit union funds and ban secondary boycotts, while utilizing Communist Control Act hearings to break leftist unions. The 1955 Perfect Circle Strike.
      • John F. Kennedy (1961–1963): Issued Executive Order 10988, which granted federal workers collective bargaining rights but explicitly stripped them of the right to strike, creating a precedent for federal strike bans. Kentucky Mine War (1962)
      • Lyndon B. Johnson (1963–1969): Invoked Taft-Hartley emergency injunctions to shut down critical aerospace and maritime strikes, using national security arguments to force striking workers back to the production line. The Memphis Sanitation Strike (1968)
      • Richard Nixon (1969–1974): Deployed over 20,000 armed U.S. Army troops and National Guardsmen under Operation Graphic Hand to break the wildcat New York City postal strike of 1970. The Delano Grape Strike (1965–1970)
      • Gerald Ford (1974–1977): Vetoed the Common Situs Picketing Bill, which legally blocked construction unions from striking at entire job sites, severely weakening their multi-employer bargaining leverage. The Washington Post Pressmen Strike (1975).
      • Jimmy Carter (1977–1981): Invoked the Taft-Hartley Act during the historic 111-day coal miners’ strike of 1978, threatening federal prosecution and interventions to force miners back to work.
      • Ronald Reagan (1981–1989): Mass-fired 11,359 striking air traffic controllers (PATCO) in 1981, used federal decertification to permanently crush their union, and packed the NLRB with pro-management appointees. The Arizona Phelps Dodge Copper Strike (1983)
      • George H.W. Bush (1989–1993): Issued emergency executive orders to legally dissolve strikes at Eastern Airlines and major freight railroads, mandating binding arbitration that favored corporate leadership. The Pittston Coal Strike (1989–1990).
      • Bill Clinton (1993–2001): Championed the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) despite fierce union resistance, which accelerated the offshoring of domestic manufacturing and eroded union density. The Detroit Newspaper Strike (1995–1997)
      • George W. Bush (2001–2009): Invoked Taft-Hartley to end the 2002 West Coast port lockout, stripped union rights from 170,000 newly formed Department of Homeland Security employees, and legally blocked multiple airline strikes. The Charleston Five (2000).
      • Barack Obama (2009–2017): Abandoned his signature campaign promise to pass the Employee Free Choice Act (Card Check) to ease workplace unionizing, while utilizing federal law enforcement coordination to monitor and dismantle local labor-adjacent movements. Longview Port Dispute (2011).
      • Joe Biden (2021–2025): Blocked a national rail strike in 2022 by signing a congressional mandate that legally forced workers to accept a contract without paid sick leave, directly overriding their democratic union votes. Warrior Met Coal Strike (2021–2023)
      • Donald Trump (2017–2021; 2025–Present): Systematically dismantled the architecture of federal labor protection. In 2025, Trump fired the NLRB’s General Counsel and removed board member Gwynne Wilcox, deliberately stripping the board of its quorum and halting case enforcement. This culminated in the June 2026 Supreme Court ruling Trump v. Slaughter. By overruling the 1935 Humphrey’s Executor precedent, the Court officially stripped the NLRB of its “independent agency” status. NLRB members can now be fired by the president at will, effectively converting the nation’s primary labor arbiter into a direct political instrument of the executive branch. Concurrently, Trump issued executive orders terminating collective bargaining agreements for tens of thousands of federal employees at the TSA and Department of Defense. Mass arrest of striking NYC healthcare workers (2026)

There’s that pesky evidence again! I wonder what insults and obvious false equivalencies you’ll throw at me this time. Maybe you’ll say that if we all just voted at 80% instead of 64% none of these people would have ever been president and all of these things never would have happened. With you, who knows what ignorant shit will come out of your mouth!
