Yep I bought the youtube ad safety razor and a blade sample pack, it’s been great. I’m paying 8€ for a pack of 100 blades instead of 3€ per cartridge lol

I manage to slice my face occasionally with cartridge razors, I fear what I’d do to myself with a safety razor.

I cut myself more often with a cartridge razor than a safety razor.

The blades in the cartridge razors are so dull, and there’s so much slack where they wiggle, I push too hard to get them to do anything. With the safety razor I just set it on my face with no pressure

I use a Henson mild and its pretty idiot proof, as long as you use some halfway decent blades, don’t use too much pressure and don’t move it in a sawing (as opposed to scraping/shaving) motion you’ll be fine. I didn’t cut myself once while I was learning to use it, only when I took a flight and had to settle for some shitty blades from the local pharmacy did I get some weepers.

The one I have doesn’t leave that much blade exposed so it’s about the same risk of cutting yourself as a cartridge razor. Seems like they’ve got this figured out for the most part.

I do like the idea of using a less expensive solution with less plastic. Maybe I’ll look into it again.

The key is that with safety razors you don’t press down on them and you move slower, then you’re golden
