Unfortunately, the Ally X doesnt have trackpads which is must have for games like strategy and point&click. The lack of trackpads in this hardware category is astounding, actually.
Using touch forces me to place the handheld on a table or hold it with one hand repeatedly which I find very uncomfortable. It is also not as precise and I can’t hover for tooltips (essential for point and click).

Why not just use the touch screen?
The “mouse” moves where my finger lands, and works fine for any game I’ve played, though I’ll admit right clicks ca be a bit fiddly with touch.
