    They’d have to be using some legit phone number and not a spoofed one, that’s for sure. So if this were actually a legit screenshot the other comments saying the scammer is using a spoofed number are actually wrong.

        I mean, it’s possible but I doubt it. Maybe if they’re very organized.

        I actually do this with email so I know who sold/leaked my email address when I get spam. But this is doing it on the opposite side of equation with phone numbers so I doubt it.

          i mean it would be useful for followup but i don’t think it’ll be worth it unless new numbers are effectively free for them
