It’s not like that is a symptom of a more general social issue that has been getting worse way before LLMs were popular. And it is also not that people will develop relationships with all sorts of inanimate objects and concepts to cope with reality. The problem was just the AI guys, yay pat yourself in the back
Just the same as many folks falling on hard time grab for booze and/or other substances to get to their day. People I general don’t become poor by doing drugs first. But that would mean admitting society has structural issues that are most likely very profitable to a small minority.
