If us Lemmy/Mastodon users want more people, we could do our own “marketing” by creating engagement rage bait conversations on those posts … But do we want to? Probably not.
With the advent of LLM, we could (or even just a few of us, given the knowledge base of our atypical users) just start promoting our communities more aggressively on other platforms, and include onboarding tutorials and assistance.
But, I’m not going to be on the tip of that spear. I have other stuff going on lol.
