Hey, you having ADHD and avoidance issues isn’t your fault.
I can relate. When things pile up, I can easily become apathetic and fold into a spiral of not wanting to deal with shit, which leads to nothing getting done and the pile growing.
What helps me is making lists. Lists of things to do. One big list of everything I need to remember. Every day I drag stuff to the “today” list, where I do only those things today, that are either the most pressing, or the easiest to do. That way I get some dopamine from doing easy chores, to have a running start into doing something more intense like paying bills or contacting someone on the phone perhaps.
I even add stuff like “take a shower”, or “eat breakfast”, sometimes. It feels like I accomplished something, and the good hit of checking something off the list helps you feel productive, even it’s an everyday thing. It gives you motivation to keep going, and checking off more shit.
I hope this might be a tool you can use. It also helps in keeping track of what I was supposed to do, because I forget so quickly and easily. I could have something important to remember to do, and if I don’t write it down within sometimes ten seconds, it’ll be gone. It’s happened.
Oh, that? 🙃

Anyway, have a good day today!
