Uhm, looks like my comment was unclear. I don’t know if this is AI generated or not, it might be. In any case, there wouldn’t be a source for or against that.

What I’m referring to is the claim that it saves energy to generate identical features. My understanding was that with stable diffusion, the energy usage would be proportional to the number of pixels and number of iterations, not what features end up on the picture.

It was on the is this AI Reddit sub. Also, I think the AI has put a hinge under the lock (down by the don’t slip sign).

It’s basically impossible to definitively say something is A.I. or not anymore. I like doing this kind of detective work though so here’s my analysis.

      • At first overall glance, it gave me an A.I. generated “vibe” that I can’t fully explain. I know this doesn’t count for much, but it counts for me.
      • If you zoom into the pelvis of the guy in the far back, it’s a bit fucked up. It’s like his body is angled to be walking to the right, but his legs are walking to the left. See attached image.
      • The reflections on the floor aren’t quite right. The pot plant on the left is especially reflected at a strange angle, given the rest of the reflections. In general it’s like it’s rendered the reflections the way shadows would work.
      • At that shallow angle, there should be more reflections of things in the background visible, like the men walking. These are completely missing and it’s just showing an empty sky reflection when there’s even buildings in the way.

There’s also a line in the road that resembles the lines in the sidewalk, but it doesn’t extend across the entire street.

Granted, roads can be paved weirdly sometimes. However, I’ve never seen such a clean line left over from road work.

The shoes part is the most plausible reason for this image being, if not AI, at least heavily doctored. 5 pairs of shoes, all the same style (canvas with white rubber sole), three of them with the rear foot at the exact same angle with the exact same bend… The odds of that happening in real life are astronomically low. Also look at the odd posture of the person in the middle of the rear row - no one walks like that on a flat surface, and Their front foot is the only one of the group with a super dark “shadow” under it.
