Nobody familiar with what an LLM actually is thinks it’s intelligent, you can also see the diminishing returns as they continue the same route

All this shit is just marketing from these jokers

Even the most experienced professionals are still vulnerable to AI psychosis. The issue isn’t whether an LLM is intelligent, it’s whether a human perceives the LLM as intelligent. And, for better or worse, humans love to personify non-humans.

My brother-in-law does work in AI. He names all his models. He talks about them like their his children. Push come to shove, he’ll tell you “they’re not intelligent”. But I’ve seen him cry over one, because the firm he was working for had to cut back his resources and he ended up needing to shelve it indefinitely.

I’ve had to work with several llms. They’re sycophantic idiots.

Claude has some use generating low level code, but they’re pricing themselves past a jobbing SEA dev.

I mean what it does in N-dimensional space in reaction to the previous context kinda do resemble a thinking process. Its certainly not autonomous or self aware.

Idk how people can say with a straight face that a thinking machine isn’t impressive.

But lmao we are as far from singularity as it gets.
