You worded your edit weird. You could have said “the west” or “western countries” or “capitalist countries”. The way you worded it had the possible implication that you unironically endorse US empire. Lots of people do.
So I asked. It was a genuine question. Sorry I triggered you or whatever.
You immediately responded with an insult.
So yeah, you could try being less of an asshole (though based on our interactions thus far, I’m sure you will just double down on the insults and sarcasm)
And this is my main account. I don’t have one on either of those instances.
Look, I’m sorry if I insulted you. If you genuinely were asking, no I don’t think the U.S. empire is a good thing. I am so used to militant .ml/hexbear users that I frequently make assumptions based on… I guess you’d call them dogwhistles.
However, and this is the important distinction - I don’t think destroying the U.S. is the answer to empire. The reality is that empires don’t end, they change shape. What it looks like, to me, is that shape is being molded by a country like China; whose image is, as far as I can tell, only improving because the U.S.’ image is falling faster than a meteor.
There’s a far cry between being someone who wants the U.S. to lose power and those who wish to see the U.S. destroyed. I am diametrically opposed to those who wish to see me and the people I care about suffer, simply for the crime of being born in the U.S.
Spend enough time around here and interact with some of the more militant .ml users and you’ll begin to understand why I responded so harshly.
Some .ml users aren’t bad people and are actually willing to help you learn theory and come to a dialectical framework of your own. Others are… one, less able to teach and two, not interested in doing anything other than shit slinging. Hexbear however are just disgusting individuals. Look up Chapostraphouse, I doubt you’ll find a clear line of history from Reddit to here at this point but let’s be clear - /r/Chapostraphouse = hexbear. Their behavior has gotten them defederated from a considerable number of instances.
You should try being less of an asshole.
Right
Didn’t you literally begin this interaction with a strawman? What’s your .ml/hexbear account name - don’t hide from me.

Wow, our views are almost completely in alignment. If only we could have discovered that yesterday.

That’s fair. I can understand why you would assume bad intent.
