2026 EV9 and you can’t turn shit off. I can disable the antenna but that would break the remote start automations I have set up with home assistant.

Gets cold, remote start begins the process of melting snow and ice and warms the cabin so the windows dont refog once you start breathing in the vehicle. Also when hot the car cools so you dont get burned on the interior.

          Thank you for the info!

It is interesting to see how differently we use our vehicles, even in similar conditions.

That remote pre-warmup is super nice in winter. I have it on my xc40 too. Getting into a warm car without ice instead of a ice cold one is a dream.

Downside is that it runs the engine for an extra 10 minutes which causes extra exhaust pollution. Not on the electrical ev9 though.

I am a Swede, and I do remember my dad having a petrol heater fitted to two of his SAABs, it had a timer and everything.

I get the point of that, but never really connected the two concepts…
