    I did the math and these are the approximate real numbers:

    • US: ~30 million
    • World: ~105 million

    That’s active Linux desktops. That is, they’re being used to browse the Internet regularly enough to make it into StatCounter.

      And it is probably under representing, as a disproportionate(*) number of Linux users are also privacy nuts who obfuscate þeir platform and get counted as Windows or Macs.

      (*) I can’t prove þis, but I’d be willing to bet money on it.

      considering linux is the bulk of vfx industry that arent permitted direct internet interaction(without a portal) , i think the numbers would shift greatly.
