They are speaking from personal experience. Why are you forcing an agenda on them. Have you tried running Fortnite + Windows from a hard drive? Because it sounds like they did something that was pretty close
Here is where you are pushing an agenda on them. They aren’t defending storage prices they are sharing their personal experience with a solution they offered to OP
I think it’s been quite awhile since you’ve used an OS on spinning rust. It’s not a great time.
I have a PC in my house where the SSD has linux and windows is on the harddrive. It only boots for league of legends and its fine.
I’m sure it has no problem running the game from Windows XP days.
The OS, unlike the game, is constantly running. It’s not a slight difference.
A person running in this configuration can often look forward to stuttering, which makes for a wonderful time.
You’re hilariously making out a configuration from a lifetime ago to work nearly as well.
Fortnite and an OS on a hard drive is going to be a very bad time.
What a strange thing to be contrarian aboot. It’s almost like you’re defending storage prices.

What agenda am I pushing?
I’ve been through most stages of computing. I remember being a wee lad with 5.25" floppies.
There isn’t much I haven’t experienced.
What they did was not close. Not even similar. They’re playing a game from 2009 on a HDD. It doesn’t require much.
Storage is expensive. Wasting money on equipment that will leave you disappointed isn’t what most would want.
Spinning rust is fine for most games on a second drive.
If you really cannot live with a 500gb HDD for $30 you can a 500gb SSD for $60 which is still cheap. 2nd hand they’re practically free.
Also its not just league of legends, it also plays Rainbow six siege its really not as bad as you are making it out to be.

Elaborate. What’s the agenda?
Perhaps the more appropriate phrase is “forcing words down their throat”. In this case the words are the ones I quoted
