Don’t they have robots to scan books that don’t require destruction? I’m all for scanning books for lots of reasons, but destroying them in the process seems unnecessary.
Yeah, but that would be slower. And of course everyone knows LLMs are going to solve all the world’s problems, so anything that would slow down their development is causing untold harm to people who you could have saved if you’d just ignored all other concerns and put all resources into training LLMs.
