Is there like basis to the pedophilia aspect of Israels harms, or is that kinda just a part of the Jewish cabal conspiracy theory we’re normalizing? Yeah absolutely, I care that we don’t give ethno-nationalists at home more cultural power with the way we critique the ethno-nationalists abroad, but if thats something Israel is doing it needs to be known, and it needs to be something people are angry about. To be blunt trying to keep up with all the darkest most fucked up things Israel is doing seems like a really good way to guarantee I have no emotional energy to go outside and actually be involved in meaningful shit that might make anything in the world better, which I already struggle with after spending all my emotional energy on basic functioning and coming up short
I do my best to follow things, but I’m not going to devote all my time to trying to know all the most horrific atrocities that are happening; that is a deeply unhealthy and likely counterproductive way to attend to wrongs that are happening. You must take care of yourself if you actually want to have the bandwidth to do any real meaningful political labor.
