    yeah, if you want a garden that has good yield, you need furrows not raised beds. my friend gordon had a small half acre farm/garden attached to his property (he was a horticulturist and that was his food field. the next half acre was his experimenting field).

    also i just realized all my horticulture (soil science and farm) friends are either named gordon or toby. i’m starting to think there’s some nominative determinism there because all the gordons and tobies i know are horticulture people.
