Even if it’s not necessarily a bad thing for Wikimedia Foundation to have so much income, just a few days ago it’s been revealed they have made a contract with a union busting legal agency, since their workers are forming one. In other words, money that people donate for Wikipedia is spent on internal bullshit conflicts by the increasingly insular leadership.
Just a heads up, Wikipedia has been operating with huge margins, they’re completely safe and do not need donations right now.
