Avatar director James Cameron has signaled that he may be ready to move on from the franchise, as the status of its two planned sequels still remains uncertain.
I’m also a diehard fan of the series and I’m really surprised that no one has attempted to adapt the material to a limited series or something. I’m talking a kids-oriented show that focuses on Na’vi rites of passage. Or a more grown-up oriented show that lets us see life in Bridgehead City (a drama about defectors or something). Hell, give me a Jemaine Clement-starring show where we follow him making the Seas of Pandora documentary you know he wants to make in-universe!
I love Frontiers of Pandora and feel like it really opens up the universe of the films for more varied story-telling.
