But the pilot chose not to use them, instead flying a visual approach at an airport they weren’t familiar with, at night, with not much experience in this type of flying. I say this as someone with aviators in my family - we were shocked at how much these pilots fucked up.

Yeah. It’s going to be like two years before the final FAA report, but I’d be surprised if they assigned any significant blame to the GPS jamming.
