It took my sister literal decades and multiple doctors to finally get a thyroid condition correctly diagnosed. Things improved on the right medication but not well enough so she had surgery to remove the thyroid and things have dramatically improved. She shared a few of the symptoms you have. While I don’t think she was told that’s normal, she did encounter some distrust and hand-waving from some doctors.
I’m not saying you have the same condition. I’m not a doctor. But I am saying that if even a tiny part of you thinks that something isn’t right, keep searching.
I don’t think what you’re describing is normal and I would be pushing for an appointment with an autoimmune specialist.
Sorry about your sister. My thyroid is fine, if you’re implying it might be that with me. My TSH was 1.8. I feel like my brain could be magnifying the extent of these, and could do with coping strategies. Even my own family have said I need to stop complaining about my health and to get on with it. IgA is normal, so I don’t have anything autoimmune going on, otherwise those would be high.
