Monthly peak hit 207,204 in March 2014. The whole of 2025 produced 108,981 questions, under one peak month. What now happens to the corpus that trained AI?
I think begging overstates it. I think I asked one question on there and no one answered it, so I did the work and figured it out and posted the answer. And then I got random questions for years like I was some expert on something I used once. Then they somehow rewrote it by someone else and deleted my account. Hopefully Poi fixed the thing I was asking about and it’s irrelevant by now because that was ten years ago.

It was handy at the time as a sort of shared snippet collection with explanations and arguments about why it was or wasn’t good. But for all the jokes about stack overflow copy paste coders, it wasn’t coder Mecca or something. I lost use for SO long before AI replaced it.

It was good in the beginning. During the content fillup. Hell I answered hundreds of questions.
