Interesting article from 2018. But nothing has changed at all. Even the electric cars I see on the road are huge.

    I had this with an 80s civic. It would shut gas off from the injectors when decelerating, and downshift hard. It meant the engine became an air pump, and car would slow without brakes. The brakes lasted so long I had to get a gear puller to pull the wheel rims off the hubs. They had corrosions bonded themselves together

      This is how nearly all ICE cars have operated since the mid-90s. Most people just haven’t learned to take advantage, and still drive full speed up to red lights and slam on the brakes at the last second.

      My original brake pads in my '17 Nissan Micra 5spd went 100k kms before failing inspection.

        I borrowed a friends Chrysler which was newer and it just goes into disconnected from engine coast mode when you let off the gas. It was hard to adjust to
