Not at all. It’s because you centered your experience, how much it sucks for you to watch other people die. You gave your body to a country that doesn’t care for you. I gave my body for a country that doesn’t care about anyone. I stated that. I made the case that post-service, I have free healthcare and others don’t. It sucks that this is the society we live in. We shouldn’t live in a fascist utopia like Starship Troopers where “Service means Citizenship.”

I don’t disagree with any of that. What I disagree is the overall thesis that “Nah, not all of us are going to sell you a line of shit.” (I said “excuses”, not shit.) You are, in this thread, selling me your excuses for joining. And it really didn’t take much pushback to get you going. So even if you’ve made some progress, you clearly have some pro-Empire baggage to work on.
