You also got the Superman summary wrong because Hawkgirl does drop the guy from the sky at the end and it’s made very clear that no one catches him. He dies. Superman doesn’t drop-and-catch him, just pins him to a cactus. That doesn’t stop him, which is why Hawkgirl later flies in, points out she’s not Superman when the guy gloats that she won’t do shit to him, and then she cracks his egg.
