Honestly? Good.
The sooner the world moves on from ever using Reddit again, the better.
For old threads with useful posts, there’s the Wayback Machine from the Internet Archive and several browser extensions that enable using it with Reddit seamlessly.
For everything else it provided, there are now far better alternatives.
Yeah, I do hope that lemmy becomes the next thing and we could finally do “lemmy {my issue}” to get the solution to anything. Though, it may take reddit becoming straight up unusable and forcing everyone to ID verify.
I’m not sure Lemmy needs the spotlight.
It’s not about what Lemmy needs, it’s about what the world needs - alternative to corporate services.
What’s the process for.getting to that point?
I can’t imagine why anyone would sign up for an account site unseen.
