    Sure, but it is also distortive to construct it as though it is billionaires exclusively, and not a system that has facilitated billionaires. The narrative that socioeconomic inequality is caused by vulnerable groups is beneficial to an owning class, and the narrative that it is that owning class exclusively who is responsible is beneficial to a system that would readily replace them if they are removed; as we have seen.

    I see a lot of liberals readily embrace this narrative, as it does not ask them to question their complicity in this system or risk their standard of living. If you think billionaires are fundamentally bad for this world, which they are, you have to ask what you’re willing to give up to end this violence, or how little you’d take in return for cooperation.
