    Oh no oooo I accidentally forgot to scan the most expensive item and still removed the tags oh noooooooooo

    Ah, damn, I forgot to weight the item again so it’s being sold at 0lbs, my bad.

    Oh shit my dudes I accidentally returned an extra two items the customer didn’t actually bring in.

    What can I say, I’m a clumsy and forgetful cashier. (just not in the company’s favor)

      I’d say modern security programs would tag such a thing, but Fred Meyer got 200 hours of footage of someone I knew stealing before they made a move, so maybe they wouldn’t be that particular.

          Walmart does that. They don’t prosecute people for petty shoplifting, but they keep track. When the cumulative total hits felony level theft, they prosecute.

            I think this is general for most stores.

            It makes sense, considering the majority of petty crimes are for a lower value then the gas police would use to get on scene.
