In the dankpods video someone linked here, it is explained that these headphones separate the mids and highs through the in-ear plugs and then the “cups” play the bass, making these actually really good sounding apparently. But they are/were like 500 bucks (or 10 a month as a subscription)
I mean if you work in a very loud environment, there is not a lot of other ways to do this
I mean you could wear noise cancelling ear buds with regular over the ear earphones, or have earplugs in with over the ear headphones?

Afaik This is a ear protection unit with comm device and yes an old one.
Normally depending on your environment bone conductive ones won’t work.
