Same on phone and different desktop browsers.
Additionally, anonymous access to regular reddit.com is blocked for me on mobile.
You’re not really losing much of value there, Reddit was set on its enshittification course for years.
Oh my dudeski, they have somehow effectively blocked me from accessing the site AT ALL! It doesn’t matter what browser I use, I keep getting a redirect error and can’t even access the site. These idiots went FULL NUCLEAR on a good majority of its base just a day after going on the S&P market. They really fucked the whole users and the idea of what Reddit WAS about!
Maybe it’s time I launch magazines on mbin for all the other r/communities that I liked, hoping at least some of those pick up.
There have been many migrations from one site to another, I don’t think this will be same as the big digg exodus.
new reddit anonymous access is incredibly annoying because it gives a popup every few seconds
Use desktop mode on your phone. It won’t pop up.
I meant on desktop
“To keep reddit safe”… Lololol
Safe from people scraping it and proving how damn robotic a lot of their content is these days no less.
SERIOUSLY!?! Well Reddit can Fuckit!
You’re already here, but look into browsing through a redlib frontend for other reddit things you need
I have noted it too, I mainly used to browse /r/bestofredditorupdates in the mornings, and noted that when I was traveling to last week that it was blocked in Switzerland, when I got home I could access it for a few days, but I’d already detoxed from it, so I wasn’t that interested anymore, and now it is blocked here in Sweden as well.
Same here, I started to use old reddit when it became impossible to search content in a specific subreddit (search basically searched all of reddit and on top of that, you get an AI search).
Guess no more accessing some game specific subreddits for me.
To keep Reddit safe. Not users on Reddit safe.
same here. worked with phone cellular for a while after my home/work net got blocked, but now that’s gone as well…
Redlib my man. Self host for the best experience.
I can still access old w/o being logged on. It will block me if I use a private window though. Browse w/o interaction and eats up bandwidth. F’em
What is reddit?
Sigh, just exactly how does pretending not to know about reddit contribute to the discussion?
It’s modeling an attitude dismissive of the subject platform. It could also be highlighting one’s feelings on discussing the behaviors of that platform’s management.
Good, bad, or indifferent, it’s a contribution and topical to boot.

Nope, I can’t see how claiming that you don’t know about not just the post’s subject matter but also the entire community’s subject matter, adds anything to the discussion other than annoying others
I found it sympathetic tbh.
I can’t see how discouraging engagement on a free and open alternative promotes the goals of most lemmy instances. I get that some want a small isolated and difficult to reach communities but the mainstream statement is usually along the lines of displacing commercial media by means of providing a welcoming alterative.
You haven’t been around the internet much, haven’t you.
Only ever since the 90s
i think it’s that website that started out good, but ended up shit. Oh, you mean that’s most websites?
