Canadians should be agressively lobbying their politicians to embrace Linux and the open source ecosystem. Call your representatives. Write to your city council. Contact your town IT department. Do it now.

@kbal @Ziip @cm0002 Very accurate, yes. And to be fair to Europe, switching over from MS to open-source *should* be done slowly and carefully. That’s a lot of vital data, and fumbling it could seriously harm a lot of people. Thinks of the court system alone.
@kbal @Ziip @cm0002 Canada detaching from the US economy is a similarly monumental undertaking as Europe getting off US tech, but I think you’re right that our political class can’t even get there in their minds. They see a huge task and don’t even want to start.
