Ugh. We’re doing Narnia again?
To be fair, this is The Magicians Nephew being made first which we haven’t had made in the two previous BBC and Film adaptations. So at least it’s a new book we haven’t had done yet.
Narnia is really a great book series and the first movies were good but missed a lot of key elements. There’s a lot to work with.
No the first movies were not good. They were corny and terrible.
What key elements did they miss?
The slightly subtle nods to Christianity.
Narnia’s back. Harry potter’s back. The Golden Compass is back. The people yearn for rebooted millennial fantasy series, apparently.
