No they don’t. You don’t see men start wearing skirts because they don’t want to be seen as cis.

This is cishetnormative where you think cishets looking like cishets is the neutral state instead of them looking cishets.

My point is that we don’t want to think of eachother as sexual beings at work. We just want to do work and get out of there.

Its not a place to express your sexuality.

What I wear isn’t about my fucking sexuality. It’s just what I’m comfortable in. In my case the main GNC thing is long hair which no one cares about anyway, but if I wanted to wear a skirt that’s nobody else’s business.

It is someone else’s business though. It’s up to the company to decide what is appropriate for the culture. I dont know where you get this idea that you can decide to wear a skirt and it’s nobody’s business, in a workplace.

Outside of work, wear what you want. I think you may have a bit of an ego issue here. You want everything in society to adapt to you, instead of you adapting to society. But you are the minority here man. You cant expect the world to turn to your tune and then get pissed and insulted when it doesn’t.

At least you are accepted these days. If we were in the 1800s, who knows what would happen. Just have a bit of gratitude that society has at least learned to accept variances in sexuality now. Maybe in 20 years, you can wear a dress to work and nobody will bat an eye. But today… No way…

Okay so tell the cishet people to stop wearing gendered clothing and talking about their wives/husbands etc.

Cisnormativity is shoved down all our throats every day.

You can’t get it all your way and say it’s too much when someone else does it.

When almost all people have a cisnormative sexuality, you can’t act surprised when your sexuality is not appreciated at work. And it’s not being suppressed to not be allowed to display it at work either. It would disturb the entire workplace. That’s why you get discriminated.

And you know this, but you still try to force your will, and expect others to accept your sexuality in their face when they don’t want to see it. They are trying to do their job.
