nitter.net is currently replaced with a message about the C&D until zedeus (lead dev) gets legal advice on how to proceed. Other instances are probably ok for now (or at least until an API break). Not a great sign for anyone else who hosts it, but hopefully it gets resolved without development permanently stopping.

always remember to clone/mirror repositories in other places folks. Lawyers got onto Github and Github happily takes things down unless all of the internet comes to push back. Mirror your favorite projects to codeberg, forgejo, gitea, wherever. You never know when someone will be forced to take that project you love down.

Yeah anytime I see code that I use that interacts with a third party I mirror it to be safe. Repos are small. Especially if the third party isn’t a tech company, like most home assistant things. They are incredibly hostile and letigous against open source projects that have the audacity to make their products better.

Oh, isn’t bitter that site curating a list of content for building AI models? I seem to recall that and hope it works except then from any laws, right?
