The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Remastered boasts remastered visuals, enhanced combat, improved movement, enhanced monster behaviors. A skill tree revamp, transmogrifications, new finishers, and so much more. The fantastic Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions are included. The upgrade is free for all Witcher 3 owners. Coming Sept. 29, 2026.


I do think it’s unfortunate that CDPR have hit their biggest successes with their open world games, because I don’t think their world design is up to much. Both this and Cyberpunk suffer from a main quest that screams “this is urgent” followed by opening up a map filled with icons.
And most of those icons are boring bullshit, but there’s enough good stuff out there that you’ll want to explore them anyway, only to be disappointed by a single troll fight or something 90% of the time rather than some interesting story.
I agree until cyberpunk, I enjoyed just being in NC even more than I enjoyed doing the main questlines. But yeah W1 is my favorite Witcher game by far despite starting it after dropping the other two pretty early on…I eventually went back to finish 3, and there’s a lot to love, but man the pacing and filler just kills it for me.
