I can’t even use Bluetooth earphones at this point because of this.
They just make me anxious, I am constantly expecting to be startled by random loud voice at any point.But 3.5mm jacks are sooooooooo awful.
I have a nice shower speaker that, when low on power, begins beeping every 5 seconds, with at least three times the volume of the music
I get it, just give me 2 goddamn minutes to finish showering and then I’ll charge you!

Mine’s a British woman. And the volume of that voice always seems to be much louder than whatever I was listening to, so it gives me a slight fright every time.

the tts in my car’s bluetooth puck consistently mispronounces “bluetooth” as “blew-a-tooth”. truly a mark of high quality.
I do not understand why we are not allowed to just disable this feature.

If you don’t need to filter out lots of noise, you can alternate to use one buds at the time for long study/work session. So the other one can keep charging in the case. Otherwise, a female audio jack/usbc adapter with some good old cable headphones.
