    Yeah, I’m saying they made it code because the doorless showers are the standard, not that putting door there would somehow invalidate the code.

    I come from another European country and the law only requires waterproofing the floor + wet areas (shower, around the bath etc.)

      And I’m saying the code is there independently of doorless showers. The code was like that before doorless showers became common.

      In fact, if your shower has a door and the only drain is inside the shower, you are required to leave a gap under the door to allow water to flow into the shower.
