Some of the constraints imposed on fighter jets is life support and G-force limitations for the pilot. Removing the pilot and allowing an on-board computer handle things in the moment (e.g. dogfights) gives an unmanned jet the upper hand.
It’s obviously a step toward completely automated war machines, but that’s the justification for the “unmanned fighter jet”
