Google blocked Android OS users from being able to move apps from internal storage to external storage in AOS 4 due to complaints of various glitches.
Google restored the option in AOS 5. In AOS 7 they disabled it again but gave an override option in the Developer Options menu. Maybe fair enough if avg. users can’t handle it.
But Huawei decided to intervene and impose an extra dose of nannying on their users by rendering the toggle in Developer Options impotent. Even advanced users are blocked from moving apps from internal to external storage. It’s a power-abusing overstep.
Of course all this nannying flies in the face of forced apps which cannot be removed.
I’m calling it asshole design because by tampering with a developer option they proactively made the conscious decision to nanny advanced users.
